Private Cello Lessons & Studio

Welcome to my teaching page! I am a concert cellist, chamber musician, and educator dedicated to helping students develop healthy technical mastery, musical intuition, and a lasting love for the cello and music.

Drawing from conservatory training at The Juilliard School, Yale School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and the Mannes School of Music, my teaching balances rigorous fundamentals with individual artistic expression. I work with dedicated students across all stages of development:

  • Pre-College & Advanced High School: Intensive audition preparation for conservatories, youth orchestras, and national competitions.

  • Young Beginners & Intermediate Students: Building natural, tension-free posture, tone production, bow mechanics, and joyful musical discovery.

  • Enthusiastic Adult Amateurs: Tailored instruction focused on technique refinement, ergonomic comfort, and personal repertoire goals.

  • Chamber Ensembles: Ensemble coaching for piano trios, quartets, and sonata duos.

Locations & Formats

  • New York City: In-person private lessons in Manhattan. While my studio is located in Lincoln Center, I also offer at-home lessons.

  • Connecticut: In-person private lessons for students in Fairfield County and surrounding areas. My studio is located in Norwalk, CT.

  • Online Studio: Remote lessons for national and international students.

Experience & Background

  • The Juilliard School: Current Teaching Assistant to Nina Lee (Brentano String Quartet), working with undergraduate and graduate conservatory cellists. I have previously held a Teaching Assistant position to the late Joel Krosnick from 2019 to 2025.

  • Musart Music School: Longtime faculty cello instructor guiding talented pre-college students and foundational beginners.
